Artist Spotlight: N-47 – Mixing Rap and EDM

It’s an honor to introduce Nick also known as N-47 on stage, one of the first artists to ever sign up and use Runiuni. The main driving force in creating Rhythm and Ramps, and a critical figure in the journey of our company's approach to uplifting artists. Nick is someone who's done a lot to not only help us but many other artists in the Jacksonville communinty.

From his early days drawn towards rap, to rocking the decks alongside homies DEEP SEE (Elan) and EK.KO (Tyler), He has carved out a niche in the EDM world that resonates with authenticity.

Q: Can you share a bit about your background and how you started DJing/producing?

N-47: "I’ve always been captivated by electronic music, dreaming of not just experiencing it live but creating it. My journey took a turn towards rap initially, but after DJing with friends and attending major festivals, I fell in love with the EDM scene. Getting my hands on a DDJ 400 was a game-changer; it was so much fun that I couldn’t stop."

Q: Who are your biggest musical influences, and how have they shaped your sound?

N-47: "My biggest Influences are LSDREAM, Mac Miller, Inzo, Capital Steez, Porter Robinson, Seven Lions, and Space Laces."

Q: How do you prepare for a live performance?

N-47: "Usually I’ll go over my favorite transitions/ mashups and decide which ones I want to showcase for the crowd."

Q: Besides music, what are you passionate about?

N-47: "I’m very passionate about growing the community and throwing events. I also really love skateboarding and engineering/ creating rap music."

Q: What's the most important lesson you've learned in your career?

N-47: "Confidence is key. Believing in your own sound and capabilities can open doors and create opportunities."

Q: What advice would you give to someone just starting in making music?

N-47: "Believe in yourself and create the music you want to hear. Follow the sounds in your head, not the expectations of others. Authenticity in your art will always resonate more deeply."

Don’t miss the chance to meet and experience Nick's set at Rhythm and Ramps Saturday. An amazing Jacksonville artist with passion for uplifting the scene and connecting with the community.
