QNA Interview:
Q: How did you start your journey in DJing and producing?Â
MorGanja: "My name is Morgan Green, I began DJing about 3 years ago (give or take) and have slowly but surely worked my way up to live shows this past November! It’s been a really incredible journey so far, the connections I’ve made with people and other musicians, made some fans, brought my friends along for the ride, and have curated some tunes with a friend that really began my journey into production! I’ve truly learned the most from my friends and if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be here today and I’m so grateful for every moment!."
Q: Who are your musical influences and how do they shape your sound?Â
MorGanja:Â "Griz, Tape B, and Subtronics have to be my main influencers when it comes to mixing throwbacks, funk, dupstep, wubs, and everything in between into my set to keep the vibes highhhh and the people wanting more! There truly is no limit in this industry and the ceiling is always ready to be broken!."
Q: What preparations do you make for a live performance?Â
MorGanja: "I spend hours preparing my set, but it's the time with my friends that really grounds me before a show. A bit of humor with some ganja gets me in the right headspace to connect with my audience and deliver a memorable performance. Everyone could use some more ganjaaa."
Q: What passions do you pursue outside of music?Â
MorGanja:Â "I'm involved in working with children with autism, which is incredibly rewarding. I also run a small resin jewelry business with one of my best friends. Both are so fulfilling in their own ways!."
Q: What's the most valuable lesson you've learned in your music career?Â
MorGanja: "Mistakes will teach you lessons, don’t trip too hard though cause most of the time - no one else even noticed! Keep the flow going and get back in the groooveee!."
Q: Any advice for aspiring musicians?Â
MorGanja: "DO IT! Meet with people, watch videos, reach out to people in the industry! Most of the time, there are artists out there willing to share their knowledge and create something incredible with you! Music calms the seas of life, ride this wave - it’s worth it!."
